Two Choice MICR Printers are Perfect for Low-Volume Check Printing

If your office is printing less than 2,000 checks per month, the TROY OfficeJet 8210 MICR Printer or
TROY M203 MICR Printer will fit within your budget and print secure, reliable payments.

New Release: Low-Volume Check Printers

Not every organization needs an enterprise-grade check printer, especially if you’re printing less than 2,000 checks per month. So, why pay for what you don’t need?

Here at TROY, we cater to all our clients, both enterprise and small family run businesses throughout the world. Our newly released MICR printers are the TROY OfficeJet 8210 MICR Printer and the TROY M203 MICR Printer; both designed for organizations, or home-based offices, with low-volume check printing needs.

Reliable, Fraud Resistant Technology

Were you aware that 71% of U.S. companies have experienced actual or attempted check fraud? While this number is staggering, it does take several elements of check payments into consideration, such as systems without positive pay, clerical errors, and internal fraud, just to name a few. However, it was found that 20% of respondents sighted stolen check stock as a prime culprit in fraud cases.

Enter the TROY MICR printer designed to help reduce your fraud risk by enabling you to eliminate preprinted check stock. We do this by enhancing HP printers, which are the most secure printers on the market, with TROY technology.

For added security, our MICR Toner Secure not only ensures a consistently high level of MICR readability, it also contains a proprietary security feature. Should a counterfeiter try to chemically wash the toner from a check, a red dye releases thereby making check washing impossible. In addition, TROY MICR Toner Secure features high adhesion properties which make scraping virtually impossible without significant damage to the paper.

  • The M203 is toner-based and the printer comes with a TROY MICR Toner Secure which features high adhesion and releases the red dye.
  • The OfficeJet 8210 is an ink-based printer, but still holds the same level of security. While it doesn’t bleed red, the ink sinks into the paper and cannot be washed away.

It’s the combination of a secure, reliable printer coupled with TROY MICR Toner Secure, or TROY MICR Ink, which enable you to print a fraud resistant check; from the payee to the MICR line. Not only will you be able to reduce costs- and risks -associated with preprinted stock, you’ll also increase payment security.

As you can see, the biggest difference between the two printers is volume. Your final decision will probably come down to volume, price, and whether you prefer laserjet or inkjet.

Not only are we the only manufacturer permitted to enhance HP printers, we are also the only company providing MICR inks and toners in OEM cartridges. OEM, or Original Equipment Manufacturer, means we take original HP cartridges, fill them with our toner or ink, and provide them to you. These OEM cartridges will not void the printer warranty and are guaranteed to provide more reliable, higher quality results than non-OEM cartridges. TROY products are never remanufactured so you know you’re getting the best of the best, right from the start!
