Our history

1963

TROY was founded and began forming partnerships that would enable them to build innovative security solutions in the print industry.

1975

TROY focused on establishing partnerships with government entities to better understand the security solutions needed. During this time, the United States Treasury check we see in use still today was created.​

1986

TROY engineered the first laser check printer and brought it to market.​

1993

HP was in need on a MICR Check Printing Solution for their customers. This resulted in the start of the TROY + HP OEM partnership. Today, TROY is still the only authorized company in the world to modify HP products for use in security printing solutions.​

2005

TROY MICR Toner Secure was brough to market. This was and still is a game changer for check printing. The toner is specially formulated to include a red dye that is released if chemical alteration is attempted.​

2008

TROY entered the secure prescription printing market. Offering locking printers to protect high value stock, and software that adds security to plain paper prescriptions, eliminating the need for prescription paper and prescription pads all together.​

2013

TROY developed Ultraviolet (UV) inks and toners for use in security printing solutions. These inks and toners are currently used in check and document printing to protect data with an added layer of security.​

2016

TROY introduced SecureDocs software for secure document printing. This software is unique to the market and takes advantage of TROY security inks & toners as well as printers developed specifically for secure document workflows.​

2020

TROY and Konica Minolta established a collaborative OEM partnership through the development of a Production MICR Check Printing solution.​

2021

TROY introduced AssurePay Check software for robust check printing. AssurePay Check offers unrivaled security, control, and functionality in the leading business check printing software solution available.​

2022

Released TROY FlexPay software specifically for QuickBooks Users. This all-in-one payments platform introduced QuickBooks users to AP automation and simplifies the process for sending printed & digital payments.​

2023

TROY and Intuit established a collaborative partnership through TROY FlexPay and Intuit QuickBooks software. The partnership is meant to help small businesses transition to cloud software, more easily print checks with QuickBooks, and have more flexible payment options.
